These Piccolpasso handmade tiles are produced by Caroline Egleston. The tiles are stamped by hand to give a natural unevenness, then fired in the kiln to 1100 degrees C, making them extremely resilient. Tiles are then glazed, hand-decorated and finally fired again at lower temperature. The technique used is known as 'majolica' or tin-glazed earthenware and produces a lovely semi-matt surface. These tiles look so lovely alongside a bath or basin, or simply used decoratively. Approx. 120x120mm
